Original artwork description:
This sculpture was made from Polyphant stone as part of a series ilustrating erosion. The perfect sphere which stands apart from the main body of the piece can be seen as a result of either the polishing effects of sea on rock and stone, or the effects of our manipulation of the earth's natural resources. The main body of the sculpture is mainly worked but also left as the raw stone in areas both back and front.
