My oil painting of the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas was done on a 9x12" birch wood panel. The scene depicts a warm sunny day with a deep blue sky, that seems to invite visitors to come in and visit one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Southwestern U.S.
The Alamo is the "Cradle of Texas Liberty", where a small group of "Texians" were killed by a large army of Mexicans while defending what they believed was theirs. Two movies (featuring defenders Davey Crockett and Jim Bowie) have been made depicting the battle.
The painting has rich colors, is varnished, and ready to frame.
