The silver coffee pot came from a shop piled high with bric-a-brac. It had a label, 'in working order'. Since it is just a jug with a lid, I took this to mean that it didn't leak, although I've never actually put it to the test, but only used it as a prop. The small Chinese bowl is also a curiosity, and I don't even remember where it came from.
A note on the frame: since this painting has been in storage for some time, the frame has a few small scratches and marks - but nothing serious.
Highest quality artists' oil paint on heavy cotton canvas.
