This print depicts the wild and rugged Clogher Beach on the Dingle Peninsula in Co Kerry, in Ireland. The view is from the beach looking South West towards the distinctive shape of Inishtooskert which is one of the Blasket Islands. Because of its outline, Inishtooskert is known as "An fear marbh" (the dead man). Clogher Beach is close to the village of Dunquin and the picturesque Slea Head. The David Lean film "Ryan's Daughter" was filmed in this area in 1968/69.
