Original artwork description:

This mountain adjacent to Aix en Provence was the focal point of many works by Paul Cezanne, the master who sparked modern approaches to painting that I largely teach and work through. This image came from a cycling trip around Provence and further down the road you will see a cyclist. I was inspired by the majesty and colours of the mountain and trees.

Materials used:

oil, alkyd and stretched canvas
