Artist's description:

CHARLIES GARDEN a series of 9 works. In North-east England, a few miles from the River Tyne, is Collywell Bay and out in the bay stands the eroded sandstone stack known locally as Charlie’s Garden. The bay is private but not remote. People leave things there – messages, toys and flowers – often for those they have lost. They leave things where their memories are, where happiness and sadness collectively and privately mingle.

These images are an emotional response to Charlie’s Garden. They are a product of the physical and the imagined.
