This beautiful Mandala (meaning circle in Sanskrit) was inspired by the Scottish glens in late Summer, when the heather is just coming into bloom, the water is teal blue and the grass is olive green - it is raining, which softens everything. A soft relaxing image to contemplate far away places.
Title: Celtic Passion
This is the Fine Art Giclee paper version of this print it is also available on canvas or Chromoluxe in larger sizes, contact me if you don't see the size you want listed.
Made by photographing near the shore on the far side of the Isle of Skye in late Summer. A mist of warm rain was falling making everything quiet and peaceful. The mandala was created by layering several of the images over one another then picking out the colours and lines that felt they belonged in the picture. This is a painstaking process a bit like painting.
This beautiful extra large Limited Edition print it one of only 50 available. It comes signed, numbered and titled at the bottom. I use wonderful Canson Photographique Rag 300gsm paper which has the most fabulous silky texture and holds colour for a lifetime. Canson have been making paper for over 450 years and their paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few. The inks I use are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta.
Your print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is prepared with a generous white border to make it easy to mount. The print is carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped rolled in a sturdy art tube.
I am very particular about printing! Unlike many photographers, I print all my own work so that I remain in control of the art from concept to delivery. If you have any questions please get in touch for a chat.
