4cm x 60 cm x 90 cm
Turneresque style painting using techniques employed by the old Masters. First the image is created as a tonal under painting. Layers of tinted oil glazes are then applied. This process produces a richness and depth of colour that is quite unique and unparalleled. It is quite a lengthy process as each layer needs to dry before next can be applied, and many layers are applied.
As a huge admirer of Turners work, it is always an honour for me to pay homage to his art.
