Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by the juxtaposition of bright saturated colors of fruit and vegetables, bicycle and plastic bins, colorful buildings and shack walls, at the street vendor's stall under the warm Caribbean sun.

Materials:
Gouache on Ampersand Museum Series 3/4" Cradled Gessobord panel.
Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Gouache also has chalk or Calcium Carbonate added to make it flat and opaque.
The painting is protected with a sealing wax medium, which is buffed to a luster finish. It is ready to hang, does not require a frame, nor does it have to be under glass.
