I plein air piece (painted on location outside). A beautiful canyon spot at the north end of Lake Powell, Utah. I wanted to bring out the richness of the copper content mixed within the red earth. It has a greenish tinge. Original (I chose a hammered copper frame for this piece which accents it beautifully).
