Illustration to Ancient Greek myth that gave its name to Constellation.
By order Evrisfeya Hercules had to kill terrifying Lernaean Hydra, Cancer came to the aid to Hydra. However, this did not save the Hydra and Cancer was killed.
The goddess Hera, whose hatred of Hercules more inflamed, transformed Cancer into the constellation of Cancer and left him in the heavens in gratitude for the assistance he provided Hydra.
