Artwork description:

Camels have long been domesticated and, as livestock, they provide food (milk and meat) and textiles (fiber and felt from hair). Camels are working animals especially suited to their desert habitat and are a vital means of transport for passengers and cargo.

In this sensitive silkscreen print, the camel leads its rider through a sleepy moorish village. The rider is a ‘knocker-upper’. His job is to wake people up by tapping on their bedroom windows with a long stick .

This 8 colour silkscreen is made on a heavyweight 300 gram handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is created by printing each colour separately, gradually building up the image. The print is in a small limited edition of 20 and is signed and numbered on the front by the artist. The image size is 20 x 25 cm on a paper size is 27 x 32 cm.

The print is carefully packed and shipped in a sturdy postal tube. Please note that shipping to the US takes approximately 10 -15 days.

This print is unframed. Interior images may not be to scale and are for illustrative purposes only.
