Original artwork description:

Original Acrylic and mixed media painting of a figure supporting some birds. The expression on, and posture of, the figure in this painting suggests a person who carries a weight of worries. The image came gradually as I developed this little work, but to me it speaks of responsibility, especially for other people, and those people may be entirely unaware of their impact, like the birds in the painting, and possibly it is also right that they are unaware. I feel this way at times regarding my role as a mother. The Artwork is open to each viewer’s own interpretation but you may feel the same way I do, looking at this image and the way it makes me feel reminds me how important self care is. Created in November 2018.

Using an abstract base of vibrant acrylic colours I then worked further into the abstract base adding and subtracting with charcoal, inks and pencils to carefully develop the forms in the Artwork. I’ve used brushes, pens, palette knives, and various mark making processes and so the painting often reveals the energy with which it is painted.

Part of a series of works - This painting is 10cm x 10cm on 4mm thick canvas board and will be sent unframed and packaged with a certificate of authenticity. Photos show an IKEA framing suggestion only. The IKEA Ribba frame works well with these small Artworks should you wish to frame it yourself.

Please be aware that colours may appear different to those on your screen and will look different in different lights. Do check dimensions carefully and any questions? please do ask :)
