WHAT IS A LINOCUT?: an 3 color linocut print reduction, this means that as I am printing the very short edition of only 1 print in this color range I cut away areas to keep the colour I just printed. When I am done, the plate is unusable, and I only save it as proof of being mine. To see how a reduction print is made and printed by me, have a look in the "me at work" section.
All my lino cuts are printed by me, printmaking is my big love!
SIZE: "Bud" is printed in a lovely lavender and a sooty black, with a touch of green
Non toxic waterbased block printing inks.
the image measures 20 cm x 28 cm (8" x 11")
and paper is 26 cm x 36 cm (10" x 14")
I have signed, titled and numbered the print.
