"Bright Wave in Violet" is an Op Art inspired screen print from my "Bright Wave" series. There are 6 prints in the series, printed in bright, vibrant colours - each features a minimal composition of hand drawn lines.
This is a new addition to my Bright Wave series. The series was originally printed in 2012 as a set of 5 prints, but I'd always intended there to be a 6th print in violet. At the time I was having problems mixing a colour that I was happy with, so I didn't complete the 6th print. I decided to revisit the series for an exhibition in 2019, and finally printed "Bright Wave in Violet". I'm very pleased with how it turned out – worth the wait!
This screen print fits nicely into an IKEA Ribba frame.

Water-based ink, acid free Hahnemuhle art paper
