I created colorful naive portraits of two girls with hair adorned with red and blue flowers on the back of a vintage checkerboard. Two parts of this board can be folded and closed with a latch, then no one will know about the secret that is hidden inside. This is also associated with love as the main secret of life. These young women, similar to androgynous sculptures of wooden angels from Ukrainian churches, are symbols of play as the main law of life. Life is a game with time, in which time always wins, but life never loses. New generation as fans of new technologies love other games (video games on PC, Xbox, PlayStation etc.). But chess is timeless playing like love.

Colors and tones of the artwork vary depending on the lighting and look different in daylight, bright electric light or candlelight and to depend on settings of a monitor of your device.

This painting is not framed, but ready to hang.
