Original artwork description:

I loved the beautiful colours of the male bird and although I didn't want to eat these birds I definitely wanted to capture their beauty and magnificent markings. So I drew them instead of having them for dinner. The pastels are an ideal medium for this as their colours are pure pigmentation and bring out the details and beautiful colours. This pastel is framed in a beautiful frame which sets off the artwork

Materials used:

Henri Roche pastels on archival paper
