These "mad March hares" are sparring, as the female fights off the courting male. Painted using a combination of soft pastels and pastel pencils, it depicts the pair in the morning light, with misty swirls creating atmosphere and movement.
It is supplied mounted within a snow white conservation grade mount and acid free backing board. The mount measures W18.7" x H23.7", with a W13.6" x H18.6" aperture (visible area of painting).
Materials used:
Soft pastels, pastelpencils and pan pastels on Pastelmat. Conservation mount.
