Original artwork description:

In this work, I continue my exploration of the theme of peaceful cohabitation between wild animals and urban environments. Painted directly onto a moving box, the artwork uses both image and material to evoke a sense of displacement, transition, and vulnerability. The surface itself—worn, utilitarian cardboard—serves as a metaphor for the temporary, often fragile spaces that both humans and animals inhabit in a constantly shifting cityscape.

By choosing this everyday object as a canvas, I aim to provoke a personal response in the viewer: a reminder of the discomfort we feel during times of change and relocation. Yet, unlike us, wild animals navigating urban settings have no choice—they must adapt, migrate, and find shelter in the margins of human-made worlds.

This piece reflects on the quiet resilience of these creatures, and gently asks: Can we imagine a city designed with them in mind—not as intruders, but as rightful co-inhabitants of our shared urban future?

Materials used:

acrilic, cardboard box
