on rainy Sundays I love to play around with collagraphs and mono prints, my Blue eyed is a collagraph, but I only print one of each version, that is, I vary them so much, that they become mono prints, all part of the fun for me! I tend to at most make 4 - 5 prints from the collagraph, as their purpose is to be very creative and not as process bound as my etchings and linocuts.
"Blue eyed" is really a comment, slightly ironic, on my own naivity, I should know better by now, but still am very very blue eyed! Luckily, I know I am not alone, so let's celebrate that there are many believers in good!
My collagraph plate is made on a base of cardboard, I add tape, glue, and filler, scratch and cut lines, let the plate dry and then I shellack it so it takes the ink nicely.
I have printed my collagraph monoprint on very heavy weight paper, 400 g, with a soft palette of oilbased etching inks, once dry, I have added watercolor to the eyes to make them bright blue.
I have signed the print on the front, and numbered it 1/1, collagraph.
The papersize is 19" x 20" (48 cm x 50 cm)
and the actual image size is 15" x 15" (38 cm x 38cm )
I ship from my studio in Denmark, wrapped so arrives safely, just say if you would like gift wrap!
Thanks, for looking in my shop, and welcome back.
