Blossoming is from the artist’s Translations collection - These are very direct intuitive paintings celebrating the beauty in everyday experiences. The feeling of cool water on your skin, the unfurling of a leaf or flower or the sound of birdsong.. Each painting in this collection seeks to bring a sense of wonder to the viewer.
Blossoming is inspired by renewed energy as the winter ends, water running from a thawed stream, shoots coming out on branches and the sound of birdsong. The artist uses the cool blue grens against a rich orange bringing vibrancy and movement into the painting. The forms tumble into each other, shimmering and flowing together in a harmonious dance. The overall effect is one of a kind of ordered liveliness as her brushwork is contained in space.
