Artist's description:

This piece is a encaustic painting (bees wax, damar, pigment) on nine 12" wood panels, that piece together to make a 36" square painting. The paint surface is rich and highly textured. The spaces where there is no paint are the raw wood of the pine panels, which has a protective coat of finishing wax.

The title refers to a song. Like music, paintings can be full of feeling, while not always having a narrative. I've chosen to name these pieces after songs because I feel a connection between music and this body of work, and the songs are an inspiration.

This piece will ship disassembled, with simple instructions and “Command” strips for hanging on a smooth wall without needing framing (although framing can be a nice option.)
