Original Acrylic charcoal and ink sketch painting of a Black Hen painted in September 2016, using artists' quality watercolour paper, charcoal pencils, ink and liquitex acrylic paints. This is one of a series of artworks of birds and animals painted in a gestural style and is A3 in size.
A lively expressive drawing with line variations and marks caused by the vigorous use of a traditional dip pen and employing the use of an ink dropper and charcoal to draw directly onto the watercolour paper with no pencil under drawing. this gives the Artwork a fresh and immediate style where my 'working out' can be seen and enjoyed.
Also Part of an Artwork a day project of which you can see the whole Collection here: https://www.artfinder.com/u/damien-venditti/collections/artwork-a-day-continued/
Painted because I am motivated by a love of drawing birds!
