The beers of the Rothaus brewery are sold in 50 or 33 cl bottles, the name of the 33 cl version includes the word Zäpfle, which means "little (pine) cone", referring to the Black Forest in which the brewery is located.
The labels on the bottles show a young blonde woman in traditional dress, called Birgit Kraft. The name is a pun: in the local Alemannic dialect, "Bier git Kraft" ("Bier gibt Kraft" in German) means: "beer gives strength".
Birgit Kraft and the pine cones were already present on the labels when Tannenzäpfle was launched in 1956.
This unique artwork has been digitally painted and then produced on aluminum, using high quality UV inks and lacquer. Aluminum brings an additional texture, vivid colors as well as an unequalled resistance and stability in time compared to a work on canvas.
The artwork is signed on the front and back.
A certificate of authenticity is also included.
