Original artwork description:

Painting with watercolors for the interior “Before the storm. Greece” was drawn from life during my cycling trip to Greece in the summer of 2021.

From the city of Thessaloniki, I went by bike to the Holy Mount Athos, and on the way I saw the town of Kikitiki. I drew this view on the beach, did not have time to finish drawing it as a very heavy rain began, so strong that in a few minutes I was completely wet.

I waited out the downpour under the awning of the cafe, and after about half an hour the sun came out again, I returned to my original place and finished painting the work from nature. I wanted to convey in my work the state of tension in nature before a shower and a thunderstorm.

The work was painted by professional watercolors Maimeri Blu on 100% cotton watercolor paper 300 g/m2, which guarantees the durability of the preservation of the work under proper storage conditions, decorated under glass.

Also in my shop on Artfinder you can see other original paintings painted from life during my plein airs in Italy, India, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey. And also see my paintings with flowers and still lifes, painted from nature.

All the proceeds from the sale of my paintings go to the realization of my dream of a mobile workshop based on a minibus. Now I travel the world on a bicycle, it is very exciting, but for greater productivity I need a minibus that I will equip and will live in, travel and paint in it.
