Limited edition photographic print of reflections of Beech Trees in Houghton Forest, UK. An atmospheric piece that would make an captivating focal point in any room and the ideal gift for those who love something a little bit different.

I love the colours in spring - the green of the fresh leaves on the beech trees is like stained glass when the sun shines through them. The bright airy green contrasts with the thick solid trunks. I accentuated this contrast through panning the camera vertically at the time of pressing the shutter, a technique known as ICM or Intentional Camera Movement. This blurs the image and strengthens the verticals. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the right combination of shutter speed and movement.

This is a run of limited edition prints measuring 29.7 x 42 cm and numbering 150 is printed using archival quality inks on photographic acid-free lustre paper. The print is numbered, titled and signed on the reverse and care notes are included to help you make the most of your purchase. See additional photos below for examples.
