Original artwork description:

Beach Grasses a Doppio (aka diptych)/acrylic on canvas/24 x 36 x 1.5 inches (including two 12 x 36 inch panels that can be hung together or separately)/Portland Oregon.

The beaches of the US Pacific Northwest Coast are not your ordinary beaches. They are wild, overgrown with grasses, ferns and crypress trees and just the slightest bit dangerous. I've been creating landscapes and forest scenes using a method of dripping the paint, to create the feeling of movement and wildness.

Materials used:

acrylic paint
