Bare feet on sunwarm pebbles, the lapping of the waves, seagulls, it is summer on the beach! Hang this somewhere where you relax, and feel your feet getting warm!
This is a large reduction linocut with 8 colors, reduction means that as I print the colors and sculpt the plate, I cut away the lino as I go along, so I have to have it all planned out and be focused on what I am doing. A reduction print can be a bit of a head game but I love the technique where the print grows in front of you, leaving a lino plate I can't print more from, so there are only 9 prints.
Reduction lino is quite a difficult process as you have to register, that is, line up the plate and paper every single time you print, and with 8 colors, this amounts to a lot of patience!
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist, and I sign, title and number each print.
If you would like to see some Youtube films with me printmaking, and you can see me make a reduction print, look at and search under my name for a whole gang of printmaking films.
SIZE: The linocut itself measures 16" x 20", (40cm x 50cm )
and the beautiful piece of warm white paper measures 21" x 24", (53cm x 60cm)
Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc.
SHIPPING: I'll mail "BareFoot" to you protected by tissuepaper and a plastic sleeve so it arrives safely, see my reviews. My prints come with a flier (see thumbnail) explaining what a linocut is, and who I am as an artist.
If you have any questions just get in touch..... that's what I am here for!
Thanks for looking and welcome back.
