Oilpainting on Arches Oil Paper, 80x100cm.
This painting, August, has been insprired by coastal path walks to a secluded and hidden cove, quiet from the tourists in Cornwall.
While sitting with tranquility gave me time to reflect the pathway that took me there; the hedgerows alive with blackberries and summer flowers, looking down into the sea with the reflections and dynamic images, the rocks changing their colours under water.
After working with the Raku process in our ceramics for a few years now, the perception of colours has started to fuse into my paintings.
Materials used:
Oilpaint on high quality Arches oil paper 300gr.
