The real color of the back is light green (on the signature picture).
This painting should not have been like that, at first. The theme was found, but the composition was made gradually... This woman could not be alone on this canvas. She had to “speak”. I then chose to write words around it, like thoughts. Maybe it would ruin everything, but I didn't really care.
In this painting, it is about resilience, this psychological movement which consists of turning misfortune, trauma, into strength. And that's what happened to me.
My first stay in Athens, in 2013, as part of my thesis, saved my life. I came back to life. For years, I was like a person who doesn't drown in a crowd that doesn't look at you. Athens reached out to me and gave me back the reins of my own life. Since this stay in 2013, I have radically changed my life, I have taken off and since that day I have been getting closer to the person I want to be.
