Artist's description:

As you can see it is not always sunny here in The Lowlands! However when the heat is on, the beach is a great place to stay cool. A view which I never get tired of telling a story about. Only I don't use verse and rhyme, substituting color and form to get my story told! Here a child and her mother are having some fun keeping that rubber ball in the air as long as possible...i believe they went up to 88 swings before the ball touched ground! Had fun with all those greys in the sky, was a pleasure to paint. I could imagine it is not always easy to purchase a painting simply by seeing a picture of it on a website. Most of the time the actual painting is far superior to the photograph. Sometimes the colors or not exactly true. Of course when you live nearby, you are always welcome to view the work in question at my studio in The Hague. For customers from abroad, I will offer to send detailed photos of the art work, thus you get a better idea of what you are about to purchase. DON'T BE SHY, DROP ME A LINE!
