Inspired by hiking in a forest of Aspens. I’ve always loved Aspens with their dancing leaves, their incredible change of colors, and their markings where branches once were. They seem to look back at me, like eyes with personalities. I like to think of them as our forest friends. Maybe I should have titled this piece, “Dancing With Friends.” I’ll save that title for another painting.
Original Oil painting applied with brushes on archival canvas. Painting is wrapped and painted around the sides, and stretched on heavy-duty stretcher bars. Painting measures 18" x 14" x 1.5". An archival varnish has been applied to accentuate the vibrancy of colors and help protect the original painting.
