Original artwork description:

This painting explores the mythological tale of Aphroditus and the union between both male and female forces into one force. In the ancient past on the island of Cyprus, men and women would come together and swap their gender for one night, experiencing the alternate, creating a greater union between to two, combining to become one.

This painting is also created exploring the entropy of the wall paintings found across the island of Cyprus, exploring the aesthetic of wear and tear, weathering and the way in which objects are left to the elements and change over time.
