Original artwork description:
'Any Road Will Take You There Alice...' is an original drawing in inks and pencil on hand stained paper measuring 300mm x 380mm in size.
This is a large study and I've tried to get it all in the scan - there is a slightly bigger border around her in the original so please forgive the squeeze of her on my A4 scanner - all the detail is in though so with that I'm happy :)
Alice is a little lost as the quotes used from the inimitable C. S. Lewis illustrate...'If you don't know where you are going...any road will take you there...' and 'I'm not myself you see...' all adding to the flavour of the work....We do all love Alice though and I have a lot of fun doing these works. This is a particular favourite of mine as she has the white rabbit's ears and an expression of calm wonder...have you ever read the book 'Alice In Wonderland'...? I highly recommend it!
