Original artwork description:

'Anticipation' was painted in mid January 2024, when I was wondering what the new year would bring. It is a happy and emotional piece, full of energy and vitality. Because of the horizontal lines it is part way between an abstract and a landscape or seascape. This powerful and exciting piece has the ability to transform a room.

It is large (101 x 76 cm) and would suit a range of homes, from a studio apartment to a period home. The dominant colours are red, orange, yellow, blue and Payne's Grey.

'Anticipation' is a modern statement piece that would make a great talking point in a reception room. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint applied directly to the canvas then spread with brushes
