This is a detailed study of three flowers from the Anthurium or 'Painter's Palette' plant. It is grown here in England only as a house plant and is part of the Arum family. I am fascinated by this plant because of the bright red glossy spathes with the dimpled patterns and in this painting I think I have managed to portray how striking they are, especially when you look closely.
