Original artwork description:

Woodlands abound in the limestone uplands surrounding my home. In 'Ancient Woods' I have tried to evoke the cool darkness that the trees create in the height of summer. They frame the view of the airy expanse of farmland with the distance shimmering in the heat.
The painting is an oil on canvas. It is unframed but comes with hanging string on the reverse so doesn't have to be framed. It measures 60cm x 46cm approx.
