Original artwork description:

This acrylic painting on canvas is a symbolic depiction of the social and economic inequality which has been a recurrent problem in our history.

The new boot and glossy leather signifies that the upper class remains unscathed even in an hour of crisis while the lower class is trampled and their blood is shed, both mentally and physically. The tyranny of the upper class is gaining opulence and in the turmoil conditions they have remained undeterred from their lavish extravagant livelihood.
In the hour of hunger and poverty, the oppressors think to fish in troubled water greatly in order to have a large profit. The crack in the wall signifies economic degradation, which is a principle cause of such injustice.

The small scale of the noose compared to the boot depicts how we fail to notice such exploitation amidst the polished and glamorous commercialisation of the present helplessness and misery of the downtrodden class is evidently being portrayed in the painting with fine allusion.
This painting was selected in a couple of competitions and exhibitions. It was highly appreciated by the critics and the judges.

The painting is framed with dark brown wooden moulding. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic
