My first 2020 piece harkens back to the annual migration in full swing last spring when I was fortunate enough to see what I believed to be the American Redstart. A beautiful warbler with brilliant plumage, it is a rare sight. I captured him in Mungvo soft pastels with PanPastels and Generals pastel pencils. This is a 9 x 12 size piece on Pastelmat board. I have matted and framed it recently, to protect it's surface prior to transportation. The matting sets off the warbler beautifully.
PRINTS of both the American Redstart and Cedar Waxwing and are available! They come matted and backed for framing and are just beautiful.
