Artist's description:

I love and adore my 2 dogs, they are so much part of my family, and one thing I very much enjoy, is the look on their faces waiting in the car....amazingly patient! I added another couple of dogs, and a little bird just for something for them to talk about :o))

a handprinted aquatint etching; I ink up the copperplate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity.
Aquatint is a technique where deep tones can be achieved on an etching, it involves rosin, that gets melted onto the copperplate with the help of a burner.
If you would like to see me make and print an etching, go to the "me at work" section in my shop.

"Amazingly patient" is printed in an edition of only 30 prints, a very small edition,
please be aware that I can't guarantee that you get the number on the photo......
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.

I have printed the etching a piece of warm white heavy Fabriano printmaking paper,
perfect for the image, the image measures 9.5" x 12.5" (24 cm x 36 cm )
and the actual paper measures 12.5" x 16.5" (32cm x 40 cm)

I'll mail your etching from my studio in Denmark, protected, so it arrives safely! It comes with an "Original Print by Mariann Johansen-Ellis" sticker and a leaflet explaining what an etching is. If you are giving the etching away as a gift, let me know and I'll wrap it in a nice piece of paper for you!

Thank you for looking in my shop and very welcome back!
