I was given an Amarylis bulb for my birthday in November,once planted it produced the most wonderful flowers, which brightened my days and brought a flash of colour to my windowsill. This picture is a celebration of the joy it gave me. Whilst appearing simple this image is complicated to execute in watercolours.
