Original artwork description:

This sculpture is one of a series of sculptures on the theme of Vessels I have been working on this year (2018). Part of the stone is left untouched to contrast between the polished stone and the natural. It illustrates how mankind manipulates nature. This cloudy alabaster has interesting opaque markings which indicate a very high heat when the gypsum was formed thousands of years ago. It sits on a black honed granite base.

Materials used:

Spanish Alabaster, black granite
