Ahoy is an abstract painting that takes reference in modern illustration, and follows up one of my earlier paintings depicting a scene at sea with boats. Both works are inspired by paintins by Lyonel Feininger, taking up my own experiences at the Bauhaus in Weimar in the years I spent working there.
