"A Lighter Place" captures the beautiful woods near my home in the Peak District where much of my inspiration begins. Sun rays filter through the leafy glade merging with lilac flowers and grasses expressed with abstract marks in the foreground. This is a peaceful place and I attempt to interpret the tranquillity of the woods in the painting.

An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on a thin edged canvas, which is framed in a neutral coloured frame. I use impasto techniques and harness the optical mixing techniques employed by the impressionists. I work with numerous mark making tools including a palette knife to build up multi layers, which creates a contemporary painting and if you look closely you can see the first layers applied in places.

For secure shipping I package work carefully and dispatch by special delivery using parcel force, always tracking for the journey to ensure safe arrival.
