I'm ready to paint the lavender field in different styles and techniques many times, and I don't get bored of it.
It's almost like lilacs. Only lilacs grow in many places on Earth, and lavender does not grow in our climate yet. But I have a lot of photos and vivid impressions from when I was a tourist in Provence. I am inspired not only by the feeling of the warm Earth and bright sunshine of Provence. But also the many shades of purple and blue found in lavender. It's such a pleasure to see the shimmers of colour! So I paint lavender fields at sunset and sunrise, which are always different.
I painted the picture with pastels on special pastel paper from the French company Canson.
I indicate the size of the image as it is. In addition, 0.7 cm margins were added around the picture's perimeter for framing it in a baguette.
