Original artwork description:

Moby Duck is one of the most loved characters in Le Moschine, a series of acrylic and colored pencil paintings inspired by old American cartoons of the 1920s and 1930s and by lowbrow and pop surrealist painting.
In Moby Dick Melville tells about evil, in man and in nature. The challenge to the unknown, to destiny, to death; the dark sea, the terrible captain Ahab, the gigantic whale. Just a little bit of humor is missing, and here we try to make
up for it.

This version is mounted in a very beautiful frame, decorated in relief, in wood and resin, about 6 cm thick. The frame is painted in opaque white enamel, and finished with a chapping and white limestone paint that gives it an uneven color and a porous surface similar to antique plaster.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, coloured pencils, chalks
