Original artwork description:

The 1928 Corona-4 is one of the first four-row portable typewriters. It has been 30 or so years since my grandfather, Waldo T Boyd, asked me to illustrate for his article and book, his alternative to the QWERTY keyboard. He was an author of both fiction and non-fiction, a scientist, and a cryptologist. I possessed the side of the brain he said he didn't have, so I was glad to help him with that. (he had said his father was a painter)
