"Fin de Otoño, 2014" by Beatris Burgoin

“Fin de otoño translates from Spanish into ‘End of Autumn’ . This oil on canvas was created mostly with a painting knife and embodies the feeling of nature’s end cycle, the death knell of spring and summer’s glory. The trees are bare and waiting for the snow to wrap them for winter’s deep sleep. The event is nigh. The initial storm that will deliver the frozen blanket under which they will rest and endure and renew.”

"The Faun, 2016" by Anthony Crammen

“'The Faun' is a sculpture based on the mythical creature, The Faun. A Faun was a mythical being crossed between a human and a goat, often the lower half being goat and the upper half being human. Although Faun's were represented as being half goat, I wanted to create this sculpture with deer antlers instead to create a more dramatic appearance. I specifically chose blue and black for this piece as a nod to Piet Mondrian's graphical painting's in the 1920's. Plus keeping the bottom half clear to honour the material used (resin) and it's properties. The deer antlers for this sculpture are made from resin and are not real so no animals were harmed in this creation.”

"The Yellow London Bedroom Where I Learnt to be Happy Alone" by Amrita Saraogi

“Part of my 'bedroom' series which celebrates memories spent in the different bedrooms that I have lived in, this linocut is a remembrance of the special space where I spent a very crucial year of my life in. It is from when I was a 19-year-old student in London, when circumstances made me spend a lot of hours in this bedroom, giving me time for quiet reading and reflection, and I suddenly 'grew up' during that one year, learning more about happiness, and to love my life as an individual.”

"Modern Art Typography Painting on A4 Paper, 2016" by Ian Viggars

“I love creating inventive typography and fonts and planning them out by hand like an old-school graphic designer. So for this piece I simply took the word 'art' and coloured the letters in tribute to three of my favourite modern artists or art movements.”

"Ready to Fly Far Away, 2016" by Adariiine

“These are only few days when you can catch the moment when dandelions are already white and fluffy but the wind hasn't broken their heads yet. In some kind of way they are not ruined. They are unlimited now. They are set free. Free to fly high and far, exploring new places and giving birth to new flowers with their seeds.”

"Sweet Surrender, 2016" by Mike Nicoll

“When I am standing at my easel, brush, pencil or similar utensil in my hand, there is only one thing (other than the art itself) that is of any importance to me... the music that fills the studio with sound. "Sweet Surrender" is the title of many songs, by different musicians... but this artwork was started and finished to the sound of a musician called Buckley. No, not Jeff, but his dad Tim... go onto the inter-web-net thing and search for 'Sweet Surrender, Tim Buckley, Greetings from LA, 1972.' And if you fall in love with the song, maybe you'll also fall in love with this painting ...”
