    It was wonderful to paint by the edge of Wardour castle in Wiltshire sitting on the stone and immersing myself with the beauty around me. I created an atmospheric watercolour of the view of the woodland beyond and had to wait for the rain to clear before I began to paint.

    I’m sitting by the edge of Wardour castle and hoping the rain stays away. It’s a very beautiful area set in the Vale of Wardour and I’m painting the view looking across to the misty woods very ethereal. I was so pleased with my watercolour it’s on sale on my shop.

    Had a distraction while painting Plein air in the wild

    Sometimes you get distracted I tried very had to keep focused as a loud bird sound started and I was nearly at the end of my watercolour.

    I’m using my filbert made of hogs hair and I keep working away at my beach detail and deciding to leave the sky alone and keep the contrasting light and dark of the sea.
