    I have closed up the Art garden studio and taking a walk along Park walk with beautiful views of the landscape, twinkling lights beneath Shaftesbury hill where I live. You can see the sunset over the Vale of Blackmore and far reaching views of the Wessex ridgeway and Isle of Purbecks in Dorset,

    Feeling the natural habitat of Arne

    I often walk here to see a different landscape of Dorset. They call this area RSPB Arne national nature reserve and it gives me so much inspiration for my watercolours and it’s so different to North Dorset where I live. I have crested many paintings of this beautiful scenery throughout the seasons.

    Being in the Windy pines near Rempstone Forest, Dorset heath

    We have had so many strong winds in the South of England in late Autumn to Winter. I love walking so had to find an area where it was sheltered to do a circular from Hartland moor to Rempstone Forest. This walk was my inspiration for my latest watercolour called “Windy pines”. I didn’t copy the photo, it just shows the area that I get ideas for my paintings.

    Walking for inspiration along the South west coast path of Cornwall

    I am on holiday staying at Lamorna on the South west coast of Cornwall. Boxing Day has been perfect for a winter walk, taking in the pale sun through the silvery grey sky over the beautiful colours of the sea and vegetation.
