HI Linda, Thank you for taking the time to send a review and I am pleased you are happy with the painting. I found that little blue flower on the top of the white cliffs of Dover it is only about 6" high and was hidden in the grass . Although I send paintings all round the world you are my first buyer in Australia and I thank you, it means so much when people appreciate your work. As I would like to send more to Australia and I realise that shipping costs are high I have decided to subsidise costs in the future on certain paintings and I can now send 2 for the price of one in the same box. What would really be helpful and I hope you don't mind me asking is when did you actually receive the parcel ? That way I can let other people know the delivery time. Dear Prue, Thank you for taking the time to send a revue and I am so pleased you received the paintings on time. I note they are all flower based pictures and I hope you get as much pleasure as me. Although born in London I have always had an interest in gardens and am presently creating my 13th, hopefully a perfumed garden. Thanks once again for your support. Rod x

Hi Alison, Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to reply, it means so much for ones work to be appreciated. I saw this little flower for the first time on Dover Clifftops last summer. At the time the grassland was literally covered with hovering butterflies and they seemed unaware of my presence, so was able to get very close to watch them. This wonderful blue flower was hidden by the grass and I would never have noticed it if it wasn't for the butterflies. I believe its common name is Sheepsbit, probably named because the grazing sheep, keeping the grass short allowed space for this flower to evolve. Since boyhood I have always had an interest in flowers and am presently designing and planting my 13th garden, with perfume as a priority. As it is walled am hoping to capture the scents within. Dear Saeed, THANK YOU ! for taking the time to respond, it means so much to know ones work is liked. Flowers mean so much to me, I visited London recently to look at the open gardens and am presently working on my 13th garden. As it is walled am building up a perfumed garden with the most scented roses and clematis I can find, against the walls and perfumed plants within. My palette is bright, the colours reflect my outlook on life. After many set backs in my life I realised there is too much doom and gloom in this world and the future is always bright.
